Submissions Welcome!
SaneMoms can’t stay sane if they do everything themselves, and SaneMom knows this well from personal experience! We welcome submissions of articles, so long as you follow a few simple guidelines …
- Content should be relevant to the SaneMoms audience. In a nutshell, that’s any mom who finds that motherhood puts her sanity into occasional jeopardy, and she likely also wears more than just one hat at times. If you’re in doubt, check the blog and read through a few articles.
- Your tone should be kind. Opinions are more than welcome, but heavy finger-pointing and judgment are best written elsewhere. We’re here to support each other, not tear down each others’ parenting choices.
- Content should be your own, and previously unpublished. If you’ve got something that’s perfect that you’ve already shared somewhere else, send me the link and I’ll put it in the Friday Roundup.
- Please don’t sell. You’re more than welcome to link to your own blog/product/site in your byline, which will be included at the end of your article, but please don’t make it the focus of your writing. (If you want something promoted directly and think our readers will dig it, I do share things very occasionally on a completely whimsical basis, so feel free to ask!)
- Keep it clean. This isn’t a kid blog, but I do ask that you keep your language on the clean side, and refrain from @#$#@$ fests in your articles. Which leads to …
- I reserve the right to edit content. I really do very rarely, but I do edit a bit if I think something is an issue. I’ll let you know I’ve done so, before publishing, if it’s anything other than a spelling or grammatical change.
Ready to share?
Just send me an email with your article and desired byline. I’ll get back to you asap, and let you know if I need your photo and a relevant image to go with the article for publication. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
